Life Drawing is a skill in itself. It is an exact, technical way of drawing that requires a measure of discipline in its' approach. It is a skill that I know I haven't mastered yet but it is something I enjoy greatly. The human form is a collection of complex shapes and I like to look for the rhythm each pose makes. The type of line made, the reflection of light , the structure of the pose and surroundings - all require careful observation before even a mark is made, but there is also the sense of intuition involved - how the artist will interpret in their own way which gives this mechanical exercise a soul. There are so many elements involved that make it so appealing to me.
