Denham Hill Quarry

Denham Hill Quarry is situated at Brindle, a small village in between Chorley and Blackburn, surrounded by farmland. I used to stop in the car park to eat my packed lunch when i was travelling around the farms and would take a walk underneath the imposing rocks. It is frequented by dog walkers and climbers and when I needed a location for my Final Major Project in my foundation year, this place immediately came to mind. My theme was 'The effects of light on the landscape' and I spent many hours here observing, painting and taking photographs. A selection of my project work is shown here.
